David M. Dudzinski MD JD FAHA FACC FASE practices critical care cardiology and echocardiography at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital, where he directs the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit, the Critical Care Cardiology Section, and a Critical Care Cardiology Fellowship Training Program. He has been active with American College of Cardiology efforts toward development of Critical Care Cardiology, including chairing a 2024 JACC Expert Panel, and is as Chair of the American Society of Echocardiography Critical Care Echo Council. Dr. Dudzinski also has invested in growth of the Pulmonary Embolism Response Team (PERT) concept, researches echocardiography in PE, and co-authored PERT guidelines on diagnosis & management, and interhospital transport in PE. Dr. Dudzinski has served since 2014 as associate editor for the New England Journal of Medicine series Case Records of the Massachusetts General Hospital, and also on the editorial boards for Journal of the American Society of Echocardiography and Journal of Intensive Care Medicine. Dr. Dudzinski is also an attorney, and a longstanding member of the American College of Cardiology’s national medical professional liability working group and its Ethics and Compliance Committee. He is a 25-year volunteer for Scouting America, including serving as Chief Medical Officer of MassJAM 2023, and medical staff for national Scouting events.
