Dr. Nandish Thukral is an Interventional Cardiologist at Cardiology Clinc of San Antonio. He is the Medical Director of the Cardiac Cath Lab at the Methodist Heart Hospital in San Antonio, TX, where he also serves as Director of the Complex PCI Program and Co-Director of the Cardiogenic Shock Program. His research interests include the use of mechanical circulatory support in both the acute and chronic PCI settings. He has been the Prinical Investigator for several large clinical trials including the Abiomed Door-to-Unloading and Protect IV trials. His other interests include quality improvement in the cath lab, specifically reduction of acute kidney injury and bleeding complications in patients undergoing PCI as well as patient selection models for improving mortality in PCI for out-of-hospital cardiac arrest.
