Rachna Kataria, MD, is a cardiologist with the Brown University Health Cardiovascular Institute. She received her medical degree from the Seth G.S. Medical College in Mumbai, India. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at the Yale University School of Medicine. She earned fellowships in both adult clinical cardiology from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, NY and advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology from Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Kataria'a research interests include management of cardiogenic shock with a focus on temporary mechanical circulatory support, myocardial recovery, and building collaborative networks of cardiogenic shock care, as well as patient selection and management of durable mechanical circulatory support in advanced heart failure. She is also passionate about improving uptake of guideline-directed medical therapy for patients with heart failure and access to equitable care.
