Dr. Subhasis Chatterjee, FACS, FACC, FCCP, is a triple board-certified cardiovascular surgeon and intensivist who serves as the ECMO and Thoracic Surgical ICU Director at Baylor St Lukes Medical Center/ Texas Heart Institute. He is a tenured Associate Professor of Surgery at the Baylor College of Medicine. He serves on the Executive Board of the Enhanced Recovery after Surgery - Cardiac Society. Dr. Chatterjee has published over 150 peer-reviewed manuscripts and delivered over 175 talks worldwide on ECMO, mechanical circulatory support, cardiovascular perioperative care, and enhanced recovery after surgery. Featured in the New York Times and Houston Chronicle for ECMO management during the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Chatterjee has also authored and chaired recent consensus statements on managing RV failure and utilizing temporary MCS. He is the founder and principal organizer of the Texas Medical Center's Advances in Critical Care Conference at the Houston Marriott on September 12-13, 2025.
