Brandon M. Wiley is the Chief of Cardiology at Los Angeles General Medical Center and Associate Professor of Medicine at Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California. Prior his transition to Los Angeles, he was an Associate Professor of Medicine at Mayo Clinic School of Medicine and Consultant in the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine in Rochester, Minnesota. At Mayo Clinic he had a joint appointment to the Division of Cardiovascular Ultrasound (intra-operative, interventional and stress echocardiography) and the Division of Ischemic Heart Disease and Critical Care. While at Mayo Clinic, he held administrative positions as the Director of Point-of-Care Ultrasound, Director of Clinical Practice for the CICU and Coordinator for Medical Education for the CICU. He completed Internal Medicine Residency at University of California (San Francisco), General Cardiology Fellowship at Mount Sinai Hospital (New York), advanced training in echocardiography under the mentorship of Dr. Farooq Chaudhry and Dr. Partho Sengupta, and Critical Care Medicine Fellowship at the National Institutes of Health (Maryland). He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Medicine, Critical Care Medicine and Echocardiography. He is a Fellow of the Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM), Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and Fellow of the American Society of Echocardiography. Currently, he is the Chair of the SCCM Critical Care Ultrasound Committee and member of the American Society of Echocardiography Industry Relations Committee and Advocacy Committee.
