Amanda Garfinkel, MD, is a third-year cardiovascular medicine fellow at Brigham and Women's Hospital. She will complete critical care cardiology training at NYU Langone/ Bellevue Hospital during the 2025-2026 academic year. She has a particular clinical and research interest in caring for adults with congenital heart disease in the intensive care unit. In addition her clinical interests, she has a passion for medical education; she is currently participating in the Harvard Macy Institute's Program for Educators in Health Professions, developing and directing the simulation-based education curriculum for the Brigham and Women's Cardiology Fellowship, serving as a Curriculum Fellow for the first-year medical student cardiology course at Harvard Medical School, and she has developed and currently fulfils the role of "Journal Club Education Lead" for the Critical Care Cardiology Enthusiasts. She is thrilled to be participating in the inaugural meeting of the Society of Critical Care Cardiology and looks forward to working within this wonderful community to drive innovations in the education and training of future critical care cardiologists.
