Dr. Joyce Wald is Medical Director of the Shock Program and Medical Director of Practice Development for Heart Failure, Transplant and VAD programs at Penn Medicine.
Board-certified in internal medicine and cardiology, she is also a professor of clinical medicine at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. Dr. Wald graduated from Gettysburg College and the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1992. She completed her internship, internal medicine residency, and cardiology fellowship at Temple University Hospital. A fellow of the American College of Cardiology, Dr. Wald is also a member of POMA, the American Osteopathic Association, and the American College of Physicians.
