Dr. Manish Kanubhai Patel, M.D., F.A.C.S. is a Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgeon, Associate Chief, Surgical Director of the Transplant Program, and Associate Professor at McGovern Medical School in the Department of Advanced Cardiopulmonary Therapies and Transplantation (ACTAT) at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, affiliated with Memorial Hermann Hospital TMC.
Dr. Patel earned his medical degree from Pramukh Swami Medical College in Gujarat, India, and completed extensive postgraduate training in general surgery and thoracic surgery at Wayne State University, Western Reserve Care System, and the Texas Heart Institute – Baylor College of Medicine. He further specialized with a fellowship in Transplantation and Mechanical Circulatory Support at the Texas Heart Institute.
Board-certified in thoracic surgery, Dr. Patel has been in practice since 1998. He specializes in thoracic, cardiothoracic, vascular, cardiovascular, and organ transplant surgery, with a primary clinical focus on cardiovascular and thoracic surgery.
